Projects Overview

While continuing to foster our special relationship with Nueva Esperanza, and neighboring communities in the lower Bajo Lempa region of Usulutan of El Salvador, Building New Hope develops and supports a variety of ongoing projects in Nicaragua in the areas of education, health and development.

Education:We have two schools for children from financially distressed families who are taught by professional teachers and volunteers, providing them with well equipped classrooms, materials and activities that widen their world.

We support those who choose to continue to high school by providing scholarships.

We support our teachers with outside professional training and English classes.

Health: Building New Hope has helped to facilitate delegations of medical professionals to rural communities and has arranged for emergency medical care for critically ill young people. We also operate an animal clinic to help control the local stray animal population in Granada, Nicaragua, utilizing the expertise of both local and visiting veterinarians.

Development:  Through the marketing of their coffee, we help rural families remain on their land and reinvest in their communities.
