John Soluri

Annia es la Directora de Innovación en la incubadora de empresas Ascender. En Ascender esta encargada de dirigir la programación educativa y de empoderar emprendedores. Anteriormente fue Especialista Superior de Innovación Cívica para la cuidad de Pittsburgh donde encabezo iniciativas como el programa PGH Lab para el desarrollo de empresas startups (emergentes) en toda la cuidad y también co-organizó iniciativas para la Innovación Inclusiva incluyendo la Semana de la Innovación Inclusiva y la Cumbre convocando a cientos de aliados comunitarios trabajando para hacer de Pittsburgh una cuidad más equitativa donde vivir, trabajar y divertirse. Annia tiene una Licenciatura en Estudios sobre Política Global de la Universidad de Chatham y una Maestría en Políticas Publicas y Gerencia del colegio Heinz en la Universidad Carnegie Mellon. Annia nació y se crió en Nicaragua y se traslado a Pittsburgh en 2006 con su familia. Disfruta de la escalada al aire-libre y de viajar por todo el mundo.

Eileen ha estado involucrada con Building New Hope desde los primeros años y fue parte del comité directivo de 1994 cuando la organización fue incorporada como organización sin fines de lucro de acuerdo a 501(c)3. Eileen viajó con las primeras brigadas a El Salvador. En los años posteriores viajó a la cooperativa de café. Tiene una Maestría en Gestión de Empresas (MBA) con concentración en Finanzas de la Facultad de Comercio de Wharton y post-grados en Relaciones Internacionales de la Universidad de Pennsylvania, especializándose en Desarrollo Económico en América Latina.

Bibi pasó a formar parte de la junta de Building New Hope en 2017 y es Directora de Estudios en Amizade Global Service-Learning. Originaria de Pittsburgh, PA. Bibi pasó más de una década trabajando en Ecuador. Bibi pudo ir por primera vez a Ecuador como voluntaria del Cuerpo de Paz. Volvió a los EE.UU. para completar una Maestría en Salud Pública Internacional en 2008. Poco después Bibi se retrasladó a Ecuador y comenzó a trabajar como Directora de Manna Project International, una organización de desarrollo comunitario trabajando a las afueras de Quito. En 2011 Bibi volvió al Cuerpo de Paz/Ecuador como especialista de programas y formación para el Programa de Salud Comunitaria y después como Directora de Formación.

Bibi Al-Ebrahim
Bibi joined the board in 2017 and is the Education Director at Amizade Global Service-Learning. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Bibi spent over a decade working in Ecuador. Bibi was first able to go to Ecuador as a Peace Corps Volunteer. She then returned to the U.S. to complete a masters in International Public Health in 2008. Soon afterwards, Bibi re-located to Ecuador and began work as the Director for Manna Project International, a community development organization working just outside of Quito. In 2011, Bibi returned to Peace Corps/ Ecuador as the Program and Training Specialist for the Community Health program and then as the Training Manager.
Penny Zeisloft
Penny is the Commercial Lines and Human Resource Manager at White Insurance Agency in Mt. Pleasant, PA. Penny's passion for fair trade started in 2015, when she held a small fair trade sale in her home during the Christmas season. This event has grown to an annual event involving 20+ vendors and over 50 volunteers and has raised over $100,000 since its inception. Her desire is to spread fair trade geographically and to educate people in untapped markets about its benefits. She views fair trade as a market-driven partnership fueled by a heart change in the buyers. One of her primary motivations is Proverbs 3:27, which states, "Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act." She strives to encourage people to shop fair trade, whenever possible, and through this simple change, to impact lives around the world.
Lori Brodak
Lori has always had an affinity for the city of Pittsburgh: first as a graduate from Pitt University, then working for the last 25 years in the housewares industry for companies near the city. She also volunteers for 412 Food Rescue, aimed at eliminating food waste and reducing food insecurity. Joining the Building New Hope team is a natural fit, as one of her personal and professional goals is to lead a more sustainable life and help others to do the same. Lori and her husband own a hobby farm in Mt. Pleasant,
PA, and enjoy gardening, beekeeping and raising chickens.
